Rhian is an Associate with AM Talk Therapy, working here at Melrose House on Wednesdays.

I am a BACP-accredited psychotherapist, qualified to Master’s level (Level 7) in Integrative Psychotherapy. I work with adults who often appear to be coping on the outside but feel overwhelmed, shut down, self-critical, or emotionally disconnected underneath. Some people come feeling anxious or burnt out and unable to switch off, while others feel flat, numb, or cut off from themselves and struggle to understand what they’re feeling or why things feel difficult.
My approach is integrative, relational, and trauma-informed, drawing on a range of psychological perspectives depending on what feels most helpful for each person. I have experience in community counselling, charity settings, specialist trauma support within a police treatment centre, and crisis support through Samaritans. Alongside my psychotherapy training, I hold a Master’s degree in Neuroscience, which informs my understanding of how stress, attachment experiences, and life events shape the nervous system and emotional wellbeing.
Therapy with me is collaborative, attentive, and engaged, offering space to explore patterns, deepen self-understanding, and develop more grounded and flexible ways of relating to yourself and others.
